The Oracle 4-H club will be holding a car wash fund raising event_same time and location. Great opportunity to get your car washed, have a great dinner, and help Oracle's youth all at the same time.

Instructor Val Bembenek has been making paper from desert and garden plants for many years. You'll learn how, when and where to collect appropriate plant stuff, how to cook and beat the materials into fine fibers, and how to form textured, naturally-colored sheets with a traditional mould and deckle from vats of pulp. You'll leave the class with 6-8 sheets to dry at home and make into stationery to send or keep. Her goal is to use her "wild" papers to strengthen people's appreciation of nature.
The Sunday class is a repeat of the one on Saturday.

DANCING IS OUTSIDE. Wear appropriate footwear.
A community contradance is a smoke-free, alcohol-free setting suitable for varying ages of dancers. You do not need to come with a partner, as partners are encouraged to change at each dance. The caller for the evening is experienced in taking the basic non-dancer through simple dances and progressing to more complex dances as the evening progresses. Refreshments will be sold to benefit the GLOW festival held in September.
