"Now two years an Arizona resident, I am back in the studio exploring themes and images I find represent the exotic in the South West experience. Grew up with ghosts of 'To Kill A Mockingbird' in Pensacola, Florida. So much backward drama in a dead-end place! Escaped to Vermont and then New York City where I studied painting at The School of Visual Arts, then Hunter College for an MFA in sculpture. With the end of my marriage I am grateful to be immersed in the authenticity of a landscape formative to the American character."
