This work comes from my love of defining the act of art making through PROCESS. How does one 'paint?' By choosing one color over another, next to another, next to another shape, another size... and then by exchanging these aspects until they 'work,' a.k.a. feel 'right.' This process shares a great deal with rearranging furniture in your house, as if they were game pieces.

I made the paint I used for this project with a milk paint recipe, and natural earth pigments, the same ones used by Shakers and ancient Egyptians. It was tremendously messy and fun.
